Brian Richards
Brian Richards is a solicitor specialising in criminal defence work at our Coventry office.
Brian qualified in 1969 and started his career with Richards Heynes & Co where he became a partner.
In 2005 Brian became a Consultant with Townshends LLP specialising in a wide range of criminal defence work.
Brian has a wealth of experience prosecuting for the Police and later the Crown Prosecution Service across the Midlands.
Over the years Brian has represented many clients with offences ranging from murder charges to fishing without a licence.
Brian was involved in the formation of the original Duty Solicitor Scheme in Coventry and has been a court and police station duty solicitor ever since.
In 2007 Brian was elected President of the Warwickshire Law Society.
Brian has also been the local NSPCC solicitor for many years.
Brian is an avid rugby and cricket fan and played competitively at a respectable standard for many years.
